The Moves
The moves and routines taught are from various Hip Hop and Street dance Styles such as Popping, Boogaloo, Locking, Waving, Tutting, Animation, Strobing, Gliding (some of which can be seen demonstrated by one of Hip Hop 4 All's inspirations:Mr Wiggles), Breakdancing (Bboying) and modern urban/street routines like you see on MTV and from the movie You Got Served (a must see!). The moves are also inspired from the likes of Popin' Pete, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake etc.
Hip Hop & Street Style dances are improvisational in nature and each encourages individual expression. It doesn't matter if you don't get the moves exact or if you want to change a move for yourself, that is part of the aim - to learn moves/routines, make them your own by changing/adapting them and then adding them to your dancing vocabulary to help you express yourself through dance. If you really want to do it, you can do it.
Kevin Shwe, has worked with the chief instructor of Hip Hop 4 All, and who provides the most amazing Locking class based in London says:
"'Having worked with Robert Gregg, I can attest to
his dancing skills of the highest ability. At times I
think he is good, and then the next time I see him
he does something else amazing and I think to
myself 'Damn, he's even better than I thought
before!'
More than being a very talented dancer, he is also
a brilliant teacher who understands his students'
needs and will go out of his way to help you. What
more could you want from a teacher??'"
